"Fear No Art." — Joe Olah

Joe Olah is a mixed-media artist who draws inspiration from people, life events, experiences, and family. His art themes are often religious, sexual, fish, tribal, mythical, or nonsensical. His work is displayed in private collections, art galleries, universities, public and government institutions, and churches.

He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Education (K-12 Art) from Ball State University and his Master of Secondary Education Degree from Indiana University Northwest, studying art under renowned artist and professor, David Klamen.

Joe served on the Ball State University Teacher's College Alumni Board, the Ball State University Teacher's College Scholarship Board, and was a Kids College Art Instructor at Indiana University Northwest. He also dedicated four decades to Lake Ridge Middle School, serving as a teacher, mentor, and tireless advocate for arts education in an underserved community.

A recipient of the prestigious Robert Rauschenberg Foundation at the Lab School of Washington, D.C.'s "Power of Art" award (using art to teach academic skills to learning disabled students); Ball State University Teacher's College Alumni of the Year; Indiana Art Education Association Middle School Art Teacher of the Year; Uncle Freddy's Gallery "100 People Who Live Their Life Through Art"; and the Hispanic Coordinating Council Teacher of the Year.
